The North Side High School track team is celebrating their recent victory at the State Championship in Austin, Texas. Bobby Whisenant is the 130-pound state champion in the mile category. He faced a big field in Austin and finished with a time of 4:38.4. The mark was four seconds and 20 yards ahead of his closest challenger. Whisenant is shown slightly crouched with his hands on his knees. He is dressed in a t-shirt with the school logo and shorts. Behind him is a wire fence.
