Flight Officer Houston B. Southern, 19, son of Mrs. Harold D. Kirby, graduated April 15 at Blackland Army Air Field. He is here on leave until April 30 when he will report to Yuma Air Field. His brother, Ronny Mason Southern, is a seaman second class attending radio school at San Diego. Southern is standing against a wall and wearing his military uniform in this half length portrait.
