Description
New female reporter joins afternoon edition copy cats in the city room. Elma Florence, as she was christened, was born in 1923 by her own admission in "the sticks of West Texas, Stamford to be exact." Her family moved to Fort Worth when she was only three. Dancing is her favorite pastime, by the way, any kind, ballet, tap, ballroom. After getting her degree, Flo alleges she slept for 10 days and then tackled North American Aviation where she edited the house organ, "Take Off." "Anyway, here I am." Photograph of Elma "Flo" Florence posed and smiling. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Junior Edition May 1, 1945.
