Petty Officer James H. McDavid is a radio technician in the United States Navy. He is home on leave after serving 28 months in the Pacific. He is spending his time off with his mother, Mrs. Ora Lee McDavid, in Fort Worth, Texas. Petty Officer McDavid is a former Diamond Hill High School football star. He has served four years on the same ship: the USS Pennsylvania, which saw him safely through Pearl Harbor. Petty Officer McDavid is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
