Mrs. Joan McMillan received early 2nd anniversary gifts sent from her husband, Corporal Artie K. McMillan, crew chief on a C-47 , based with the 20th Air Force in India. Mrs. McMillan is sitting on a sofa holding a gift garment and displaying other gifts on the coffee table in front of her. Included among the anniversary gifts are a copper antique powder box, a silver cocktail set for six, a smoking set and stand, an ivory necklace, a matched jewelry set including earring, broach, bracelet, necklace and ring, and a 75-year calendar (1944-2018). Mrs. McMillan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Culberhouse. Corporal McMillan received the Bronze Star medal in February 1944 for meritorious service on the Burma Road. He is a 1941 graduate of Technical High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William K. McMillan. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, March 23, 1945.
