More than 300 employees and officers of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway, their families and guests gave themselves over to sports and barbecue at their annual picnic. H. A. Dornwell, left, Fort Worth, Texas, mechanical foreman, and his granddaughter, Joann McMahon. They are sitting at a wooden slat picnic table with paper plates, paper cups, napkins and plastic utensils. They are each holding a cup and there are two partially-filled soft-drink bottles at their dining places. Mr. Dornwell is wearing a single-breasted suit jacket over a light-colored dress shirt and a dark necktie with a tie tack and a handkerchief in his breast pocket. He is wearing eyeglasses. Miss McMahon is wearing a polka dot shirtwaist dress with a Peter Pan collar and a necklace. She is wearing a straw hat and has a handkerchief in her dress breast pocket.
