Description
Gene Sanders (left), 23, served as a ship's cook third class in the Navy for a year before receiving his discharge. He works as a grocery clerk. Charlie A. Stelzer (right) 37, served six months in the Army Medical Corps and now works as a meat cutter. Prior to entering the service, he was employed for 12 years by the Safeway Stores. The men are standing next to each other outdoors in a residential area. They are both employed at Trimble's Grocery and Market and Burt E. Trimble, owner of the store, praised the work of both men. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, March 23, 1945.
