Private First Class Billy Jo Mathis of Gorman, Texas has been awarded the Bronze Star medal for heroic service near Surre, Luxembourg. Pfc. Mathis is a 35th Division infantryman. In the picture you can see that it is a copy of a portrait of Pfc. Mathis in which he appears to be wearing his uniform and sunglasses.
