Robert Westbrook, 21, formerly with the Marines is pictured here. She is shown seated at a desk, looking to the camera and wearing a full sleeved shirt. He is residing with his mother, Mrs. Belle Westbrook. He is a veteran who came back from the service to find a better job waiting for him that the one he left when he entered the Marine Corps January 6, 1943. He is employed by the Nash Hardware Company and plans to take a business course at night. He graduated from Paschal High School. He served overseas from June 1943 until December 1943, and was discharged last February 24. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Presidential Unit Citation. He has made an application to join the Veterans of Foreign Wars and is a DeMolay. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, March 21, 1945.
