Description
More than 300 employees and officers of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway, their families and guests gave themselves over to sports and barbecue at their annual picnic. Miss Ruth Oakes, left, and Mrs. O. R. Hunt swung in the loop of a grapevine. Miss Oakes is wearing a dotted Swiss dress with a fitted waist and buttons down the middle of the bodice. She has on stockings with a pattern woven in, two-tone pumps (shoes), a light band through her hair, and a bracelet or wristwatch. Mrs. Hunt is wearing the same design dress but in a solid dark color with contrasting light buttons down the front, light-colored gloves, plain-weave stockings, open toe patent leather pumps, and a black hat with a short draped piece in back and a large ornamental pin. The background is grass and some trees along a fence line.
