Description
Ensign (Ens.) Charles T. Buford, Junior (Jr.), former employee of Star-Telegram, is pictured here. He is shown standing against a bare wall, facing front, dressed in uniform and looking to the camera. He received his commission last week at the Notre Dame Midshipman's School. He is in Fort Worth to spend a leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Buford. He graduated from Paschal High School and attended Texas Christian University (TCU) before entering the Navy in July 1943. The young Ensign will report to the Naval Air Station at Ottumwa, Iowa, March 22. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, March 16, 1945.
