Description
Miss Jane Barnhart, parachute rigger, is pictured here. She is shown standing in a room and posing for the camera. Behind her some parachutes are hanging. She demonstrates the parachute packing technique which paid dividends recently when a big bomber crashed near Kaufman. Seven of the nine men who floated safely to earth used parachutes rigged by Miss Barnhart, who requires 30 minutes for the packing of a chute. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, March 15, 1945.
