Eugene Sloan, 18, Seaman Second Class, spent his first leave recently with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Sloan, 1923 W. Peter Smith, after completing his basic training at Great Lakes, Illinois, where he returned for assignment to radio school. Photograph of Sloan wearing his military uniform.
