Description

Petty Officer Charles Elliott, a Radioman Third Class in the United States Navy. He is pictured during his leave in Fort Worth, Texas, after engaging in five major battles in the South Pacific. He was stationed aboard an aircraft carrier, seeing action during the invasions of Leyte, Luzon, Peleliu, Anguar, and Palau Islands. Petty Officer Elliot is a graduate of Arlington Heights High School. He has served in the Navy since 1943. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
