Description
Firestone Textiles is hosting a luncheon and plant tour Thursday afternoon. Twelve military veterans from McCloskey General Hospital are guests of Firestone. On a tour of the plant, left to right, are Private Roland LaBrie, Private Cecil W. Mims, and Plant Manager R. M. Sawyer. They are observing some of the cotton and textile machinery. Private LaBrie, of Sioux City, Iowa, is dressed in a military uniform. He is walking with the aid of crutches. Private Mims, of Mony, Louisiana, had his left hand amputated after being wounded in action. He is wearing his military uniform. Mr. Sawyer is the tire cord's plant manager. He is dressed in a suit.
