Description

The Golden Gloves State Tournament was held in Fort Worth, Texas at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. One of the state champions is Gilbert Garcia, welterweight. He coasted to a second round victory after a series of belts to the stomach of his opponent. Garcia will advance to the Golden Gloves National Tournament in Chicago, Illinois. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in a robe. He is holding his championship ring.
