    Description

    The Fort Worth Safety Council is meeting to discuss a series of movements designed to make the city safer. In 1944 Fort Worth, Texas had the highest death rate from accidental causes of any similarly sized city in the United States. Attending the meeting, left to right are Ivan Wood, Harvey D. Booth, and Judge William H. Gilmartin. Mr. Wood is the publicity chairman of the council. He is dressed in a double breasted suit. Mr. Booth, of Chicago, Illinois, is the secretary of the traffic court division of the National Safety Council, Corporation Court. He is wearing a three-piece, pinstripe suit. Both Mr. Wood and Mr. Booth are wearing eyeglasses. Judge Gilmartin is cracking down on the enforcement of traffic rules in his court. He is wearing a double breasted, pinstripe suit.
