Description

The Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held in Fort Worth, Texas at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Preparing for the tournament are Sergeant and Mrs. Myron McKim. Sergeant McKim is a B-26 gunner with the Army Air Force. He is a native of Chester, Pennsylvania and is currently living in Harlingen, Texas. He completed seventy-two missions in the European Theater and wears the Distinguished Flying Cross and an Air Medal. The Sergeant is a 1940 flyweight champion in Pennsylvania. He qualified for this tournament as a bantamweight. He is dressed in his military uniform. Mrs. McKim will be in the audience to cheer on her husband at the coliseum. She is wearing a collared blouse and a pinafore dress.
