Description

Miss Clara Knight, seated in a wheelchair, is buying war bonds from Mrs. Earleen Ward. Miss Knight regularly sings for wounded men in Army and Navy hospitals. She is converting her savings into $550 in war bonds. She is wearing a striped blouse, dark skirt, and a corsage. Mrs. Ward is a secretary for the Tarrant County War Finance Committee. Her husband, Captain (Capt.) Robert L. Ward is serving in Belgium. Mrs. Ward is dressed in a button-up shirt with a window pane design and a skirt. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 8, 1945.
