Eight Texas Golden Glove Champions will represent the Lone Star State in the Tournament of Champions. The Golden Gloves National Tournament will be held in Chicago, Illinois. Standing in a row, left to right, are Tom Attra (Light-Heavyweight), Jim McGrath (Middleweight), J. W. Blankenship (Lightweight), Gilbert Garcia (Welterweight), Gilbert Areche de la Cruz (Flyweight), Hector Marquez (Bantamweight), and Lloyd W. Williams (Featherweight). Not pictured is Gene Gosney (Heavyweight).
