"AND NEITHER CAN FIND A ROOM -- Sergeant Meets One of His Famous Dad's Fliers Sgt. Charles Chennault, son of Maj. Gen. Claire L. Chennault, met a member of his dad's 14th Air Force Friday, Sgt. Robert L. Milne, at the Service Men's Center here were both had gone for help in finding a place to live while stationed in Fort Worth. Sergeant Chennault arrived this week from his last station at Selman Field, Monroe, La., and is assigned to Fort Worth Army Air Field as an electrician in a ground crew. His wife and 2-year-old daughter are living with her parents in Mobile, Ala., until he can find a furnished apartment for them here. The 26-year-old soldier hasn't seen his famous dad in four years. His home is Waterproof, La. Sergeant Milne, recently returned to the United States after 20 months overseas, was crew chief on a C-47 transport with the 14th Air Force in China and said that General Chennault had flown in his ship several times. He holds the DFC and Air Medal for 400 flying hours in an unarmed transport. He is now assigned to work at the Crown Machine & Tool Company here and is unable to find a room or an apartment in Arlington Heights or an area near the plant. Anyone who has or knows of a furnished apartment for Sergeant Chennault, preferably near FW-AAF, or of a room for Sergeant Milne, is asked to call the SMC at 3-1468."
