Boxers throughout the city are training for the upcoming Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Representing Texas Christian University (T. C. U.) in the tournament, left to right, are O. H. Lamkin (light-heavyweight), James Cooper (light-heavyweight), V. C. Mayfield (lightweight), G. E. Thornton (middleweight), Jack Kirby (middleweight), R. E. Jones (welterweight), J. R. Pace (welterweight), T. R. Kelley (featherweight), C. T. Saunders (lightweight), D. F. Rose (lightweight), and H. L. Gilbert (welterweight). They are all dressed in boxing trunks; some of the fighters have their hands taped.
