Description
Students of the graduating class of J. P. Elder Junior High School who received honor awards were, left to right, Lanelle Brown, J. D. Madewell and Ora Faye Wolff. The awards were made on the basis of scholarship, citizenship and service. Merit certificates were presented to Miss Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Brown. American Legion awards went to Mr. Madewell, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Madewell, and Miss Wolff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wolff. The three recipients are standing against a bare wall. Miss Brown is wearing a dress, Mr. Madewell is wearing a sweater, coat, and trousers, and Miss Wolff is wearing a sweater and necklace.
