    Description

    War bonds were awarded by Armour and Company to W. E. Ashmore, left, supply controller; Johnny Strickland, center, machine shop worker; and Preston Powell, right, foreman of the livestock department, for ideas for improvement of quality, method, safety and equipment at the plant. Mr. Ashmore and Mr. Powell are wearing suits and Mr. Strickland is wearing a collared shirt and overalls. Mr. Preston is wearing eyeglasses. The three are standing and are holding their awards in their hands. Behind them are two windows with the blinds shut. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, January 16, 1945.
