Description
First Lieutenant Joseph P. Burt, who has been overseas twice as a B-17 pilot with the 8th Air Force in England, is back in Fort Worth on leave, but, as he puts it , if that 34th and last mission had been any worse he wouldn't be here to tell about it. The 24 year old airman, is visiting his mother Mrs. Frances K. Burt. His cousin, Lieutenant Colonel R. G. Whittington Junior of Fort Worth, is serving in France with a troop carrier squadron. He is wearing military uniform and posing for a picture. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, January 14, 1945.
