Bust shot of Captain William John Peters Junior, 23, B-25 pilot, wearing his military uniform. Captain Peters has been missing in action after a flight over Leyte in the Philippines November 10, 1944. His wife is the former Miss Oneida Lewis, has been advised. He as a 17-month-old daughter, Gena. Captain Peters, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Peters of Grand Prairie, entered service in 1941 and has been overseas four months. He was graduated from Eastland High School and attended Oklahoma A&M College, where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho. He was Oklahoma state marksmanship champion in 1940. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 12, 1945.
