    Description

    Captain A. A. Marsteller, Medical Corps, United States Navy, is enroute from his home in Washington, D.C., to San Leandro, California, where he will command a new Navy hospital. He dealt with the diagnosis and treatment of nervous and fatigue cases among sailors and marines. Captain Marsteller has been on active duty with the Navy since January 1, 1917. In nearly 28 years in that service he has been stationed in the Near East, China, the Philippines, Turkey and with both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. He is wearing a military uniform in this picture. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 1, 1944.
