Description
Sergeant Allan Kanter holding dog, "Rex," at Service Men's Center. Sergeant Kanter is wearing his military uniform and is standing in front of a closed door. A group of center guests found Rex huddled in the corner of the 4th Street entrance and Sergeant Kanter who was returning to camp from a 10-day furlough, decided to adopt him. Kanter will take the pup with him to his new base at Pyote Army Air Field. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, January 7, 1945.
