Description
First Lieutenant (Lt.) Bill Slayton is a pilot in the Army Air Forces. He is serving in England as a co-pilot of an 8th Air Force Flying Fortress. In his six months overseas, he has competed twenty-three combat missions, most of them in a bomber. Lieutenant (Lt.) Slayton has been awarded the Air Medal with three clusters for his service. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Stayton. His wife, the former Miss Freda Shaw, who resides with his parents. He is shown in his official military photograph, wearing his Army Air Forces uniform. This photo is a copy of his framed portrait. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 19, 1944.
