Description
Mr. and Mrs. George McLin. In the photograph, the couple are holding a wooden doll bed between them, in front of a shin geld house. Mr. McLin is wearing a two-pocket, button down short-sleeve shirt, pants and glasses. There is a pipe in his mouth and he uses his left hand to hold the bed while his right hand is in his pants pocket. Mrs. McLin is wearing a knee-length polka dotted dress with buttons going down the front. Over the dress is an open dress jacket. Her hair is pulled back and she is wearing glasses. Both of her hands are holding the bed. The doll bed , a miniature four posted bed with a decorative floral motive on the headboard has two pillows and a damask looking bed cover. Behind Mr. McLin, there is a window , tools, paint cans and a glimpse of the neighbor's house. Behind his wife, there is a wooden slatted screen door and a regular door. The regular door is open and has curtains drawn open. Mr. McLin's hobby is making wooden toys, and he is donating about 50 of the items constructed in his spare time to the Salvation Army for distribution to the young folks during the Yuletide season.
