Description
At the Sixth War Loan Drive parade, soldiers of the 529th Field Artillery Battalion from Camp Hood take the wraps off a 155 millimeter long range artillery gun. "Long Tom," famed long range artillery gun is one of many mechanized and armored pieces of mobile equipment. Note the size of the men compared to the massive tires on the carrier truck. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 20, 1944.
