Scenes at the annual luncheon party given Monday, October 30 by J. R. Hill, a Fort Worth oil man and prominent Methodist lay leader with his wife and daughter, Miss Laura E. Hill at the Blackstone Hotel. The luncheon was to honor Bishop A. Frank Smith. Methodist leaders in attendance are, left to right, Bishop H. A. Boaz, retired, Dallas; Reverend Paul Quillian of Houston, Bishop Charles O. Selecman of Dallas, and Bishop John M. Moore, retired, of Dallas. They are standing next to each other engaging in conversation. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 31, 1944.
