Three members of Order of the Eastern Star shown from left to right, are, Mrs. J. C. Garlitz, Mrs. Hattie Lucille Dowell and Mrs. Cynthia May Watts. The three women are standing behind a table that has a punch bowl and glasses on it. They are wearing dresses and Mrs. Garlitz and Mrs. Watts have white flowers in hair. Mrs. Garlitz is handing a glass of punch to Mrs. Watts. Mrs. Watts of Lufkin, worthy grand matron of the Grand Chapter of Texas, Order of the Eastern Star will preside at sessions of the state convention Tuesday through Thursday. Two of the guests at the open house she held Sunday afternoon were, Mrs. Garlitz, Fort Worth, deputy grand matron of District Three; and, Mrs. Dowell, Austin, grand conductress of the grand chapter.
