Description
Pfc. R.H. Gregg Jr., who was with the 2nd Marines in the South Pacific through major battles, has been evacuated from the New Caledonia fleet hospital because of a serious leg injury he received at Tinian and is now in a United States naval hospital at San Leandro, California. Born in Fort Worth, Gregg attended school in Wichita Falls. He spent 18 months overseas , Gregg was wounded at Tarawa and at Saipan and has twice been decorated with the Purple Heart. This is a black and white portrait, in which he can be seen wearing his uniform.
