Description
Private First Class Roger C. Shockley, son of W.E. Shockley, Route 3, Comanche, has been awarded the Purple Heart for wound received in action last July 7 near St. Lo, France. Shcokley has returned to active duty with his infantry company. In the picture you can see that it is a copy of an original portrait, in which he appears to be wearing his uniform, and towards the right corner of the picture it reads, "Lots of love, Roger".
