Description
Teaching birds to sing has long been the profitable hobby of Mrs. Joe Summerlin of Burleson, Texas. A few notes from her battered accordion and the hundreds of canaries in her aviary line up to warble to her accompaniment. When she is assured of their singing ability, she ships them to a dealer in New York or Philadelphia and thus ends her close relationship with them that begins with her careful selection of mating stock. Mrs. Summerlin can be see with her accordion and petting the canaries.
