Captain Alfred Yorston Junior is meeting his son, Billy, 11 months old, for the first time as Mrs. Maureen Yorston watches on. Captain Yorston is a P-38 pilot and was fighting in the Chinese theater when his son was born. He holds the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal. Captain Yorston was born in Liverpool, England, and his family came to the United States when he was six months old. He is a graduate of Waco High School and attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College. Mrs. Yorston, the former Maureen Lowry, has been living with her parents while her husband was overseas. She is sitting on a chair, wearing a dark colored dress. Billy is sitting on her lap, looking up at his father. Captain Yorston is sitting on the arm of the chair, wearing his military uniform.
