Canning Center. Mrs. Walter McKee prepares a batch of fried chicken at the North Side High School canning center for Christmas shipment to her son, Private Walter S. McKee, who is serving with armored forces in France. Fruit pudding and sandwich fillings also are being prepared by the canning center group. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, August 1, 1944.
