Portrait photograph of Alonzo Ashmore, 31, son of Mrs. Mollie E. Ashmore. He was the first of the Ashmore sons to leave for war. He entered the service in May, 1942, and worked his way to staff sergeant in the Medical Corps. He is shown wearing his military uniform.
