    Description

    Captain Robert F. Snakard, an intelligence officer with a fighter wing of the 8th Air Force, was billeted in a British home, a local banker in a small town for a year. All of the officers from his base enjoyed living with the British. Snakard was commissioned in June 1942 while associated with the law firm of Bryan, Stone, Wade & Agerton. He is a graduate of Georgetown University, Washington D.C., and the University of Texas School of Law. He is home visiting his wife, the former Mary Lou Hicks, and his father, F. A. Snakard. He wears his uniform in this half length portrait. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, September 11, 1944.
