Photograph of a damaged, bronze backed bible belonging to Mrs. Larry DuPree. The bible saved her husbands life when he was wounded in combat while carrying the bible. The cover of the bible has an inscription "May this keep you safe from harm". Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition August 30, 1944.
