Description
Front view of the new Crestwood Elementary School facing the White Settlement Road at the intersection of Bailey Avenue. The structure was completed during the summer. This is one story long building made of bricks, and has many windows. It contains eight classrooms, library, kindergarten room, office, health unit, book room, teachers' lounge, and a combination auditorium and cafeteria. Five acres of landscaped playgrounds surround the building. The school will be open for the first time to Fort Worth school children September 12. The principal will be Miss Fanjane Stovall. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 23, 1944.
