Description
Image shows a creek bed while signs tell motorists to drive slowly over the temporary detour bridge across Live Oak Creek west of Lake Worth took on added significance when the rain-swollen waters of the creek washed most of the structure away. Two steel girders remained in the bed of the creek when the flood receded. Some of the scaffolding of the new bridge under construction at right was washed away.
