Four service records are represented by these veterans who were picked among new officers for the Department of Texas, American Legion. Left to right, John S. Davis of Kilgore, Texas, World War II veteran, who was named sergeant-at-arms; Henry Love of Fort Worth, Texas, new department commander; and C. C. Joplin of La Grange, Texas, new judge advocate, who served in World Wars I and II. Mr. Love and Mr. Joplin are wearing suits and Mr. Davis is wearing a collared shirt, trousers, suspenders and eyeglasses. All three men are wearing hats.
