Stanley Thompson, left, president of the Exchange Club, and Lieutenant Travis Rooker, special service officer from McCloskey, inspect furniture to be sent to the McCloskey General Hospital. Mr. Thompson is wearing a suit and Lieutenant Rooker is wearing his military uniform. They are standing behind a truck filled with garden furniture. More than 500 pieces of outdoor equipment were provided through the drive sponsored by war committee of the Moslah Temple Shrine and the Golden Deeds Foundation of the Exchange Club, to benefit the wounded men at McCloskey General Hospital in Temple, Texas. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 17, 1944.
