Lieutenant, Junior Grade (Jg) D. C. Campbell, 23-year-old returned home after a year of service abroad an aircraft carrier in the South Pacific. He is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Campbell. He is shown standing, wearing his military uniform. Lieutenant Campbell served in four major campaigns as a supply officer. His particular job was that of paymaster. He entered service in November 1942, immediately after graduating from the University of Texas. He is a 1938 graduate of Paschal High School. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August, 22, 1944.
