Description

Kenneth Wheeler, 22, seaman first class, who has a total of 18 months sea duty in the armed guard on merchant vessel in the Pacific, is spending leave with parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Wheeler. His ship went to New Caledonia, Bora Bora in the Society Islands, the Samoan Islands and the New Hebrides. Wheeler is a graduate of Paschal High School and worked for the Texas Electric Service Company. His brother, First Lieutenant W. T. Wheeler, Junior, 28 , has completed 89 missions as a fighter pilot. Wheeler is in his uniform in this half length portrait. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 16, 1944.
