Description

Lieutenant Charles S. Wolfe, B-24 pilot, has returned home after nine months' overseas for a visit with wife, the former Miss Margie Florine Gray and his mother, Mrs. Mary G. Wolfe. Lieutenant Wolfe completed 32 grueling, action-packed missions against the Germans. He holds the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medals with three clusters. Prior to entering service in January 1942, he was employed in the mailing department of the Star-Telegram. He is a graduate of Paschal High School. He is standing in his military uniform with both hands resting on his waist. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 16, 1944.
