"Mrs. Charlene Loftin and her five month old daughter, Sharon Murlene are staying with Private E. M. Loftin's parents Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Loftin while he is stationed in Alaska. Mrs. Loftin in the former Miss Charlene Briley." She is sitting on a couch wearing a light color shirtwaist dress and a long strand of glass or crystal beads as a necklace. Sharon Murlene is sitting in her mother's lap wearing a dress with frilly sleeves and socks and booties. There is a photograph on the end table of Private Loftin in his military uniform. They are seated on a sofa with lace curtains behind it Published Star-Telegram Morn. Aug. 7, 1944.
