Description
"With new methods of treatment and modern drugs, wounded men are being saved who otherwise would be died by the time they were carried to rear stations for medical attention," Captain Arnott DeLange recalled his experience as a surgeon with combat troops in the Southwest Pacific. His wife, Mrs. Arnott DeLange, and son, John William, who will be 4 years old next month, are living with Mrs. DeLange's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Short. Captain DeLange will be with them until August 8, when he reports to Fort Sam Houston for reassignment. In this picture, they are sitting on a chair, left to right, Captain Arnott Delange, his son John William, and his wife, Mrs. Arnott DeLange. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, July 30, 1944.
